Product Overview

The Aite large-flow security filter, also known as a precision filter, represents a significant advancement in liquid filtration

technology, moving beyond traditional PP melt-blown filter elements to embrace a high-capacity, high-efficiency filtration

solution. This innovative system utilizes large-flow filter elements that dramatically improve throughput while reducing

equipment footprint and operational costs. A single 40-inch large-flow element delivers a flow capacity of up to

50 m³/h—equivalent to the performance of 20 conventional PP melt-blown filters. For larger installations, one 60-inch

large-flow element replaces 30 standard melt-blown elements. This remarkable efficiency translates directly into tangible

benefits: smaller, more compact filter housings; faster and easier element replacement; and substantially lower operating

 costs.

The Aite large-flow security filter is engineered for applications requiring high-purity liquid filtration, where consistent quality,

reliability, and cost-effectiveness are paramount. Its advanced design addresses the limitations of traditional multi-element

filters, offering a streamlined solution that reduces labor, minimizes downtime, and optimizes space utilization in modern

 industrial facilities.

Product Characteristics

(1) Fewer Elements, Lower Costs

The large-flow design dramatically reduces the number of filter elements required to achieve a given flow rate. Fewer

elements mean less frequent replacements, reduced labor for change-outs, and lower consumable costs. Additionally,

the smaller housing required for large-flow elements translates to lower initial capital investment and significant floor

space savings—a critical advantage in crowded plant environments.

(2) Rapid, Simple, and Efficient Element Replacement

Large-flow security filter elements are engineered for quick and easy change-outs. The single-element design eliminates

the complexity of handling multiple small cartridges, reducing maintenance time from hours to minutes. Operators can

replace elements with minimal training and without specialized tools, improving overall plant productivity.

(3) Pleated Surface Design for Lower Pressure Drop

The large-flow filter element features a pleated (folded) surface configuration that maximizes filtration area within a compact

volume. This design significantly reduces pressure drop compared to conventional melt-blown elements, allowing higher

flow rates with less pumping energy. The reduced pressure drop also extends the element's service life, as the filter can

operate longer before reaching its change-out differential pressure.

(4) High Filtration Accuracy with Uniform Pore Structure

Each large-flow filter element is manufactured with consistent, uniform pore size distribution, ensuring reliable and repeatable

filtration accuracy. This uniformity prevents particle breakthrough and guarantees that effluent quality meets specified

standards throughout the element's service life.

(5) High Cleanliness Media – No Fluid Contamination

The filter element materials are selected for high purity and cleanliness, ensuring that no extractable contaminants are

released into the filtered fluid. This is particularly critical in applications such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronics

rinsing, and food processing, where fluid purity directly impacts product quality.

(6) High Strength and Temperature Resistance

Constructed from robust materials, the large-flow filter element maintains its structural integrity under high-pressure

differentials and elevated temperatures. The element resists deformation, collapse, or media migration even under

demanding operating conditions, ensuring consistent filtration performance over an extended service life.

Material and Construction

The Aite large-flow security filter is available in a cylindrical housing configuration, manufactured from premium-grade

stainless steel (304 or 316L) to ensure corrosion resistance, durability, and compatibility with a wide range of process fluids.

The housing can be configured with single or multiple filter elements, depending on the required flow capacity and system

design.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is the flow capacity of a single large-flow filter element?

A single 40-inch large-flow element delivers up to 50 m³/h, depending on fluid viscosity and operating pressure.

The 60-inch element provides even higher capacity. For precise sizing, please provide your flow rate and fluid characteristics

 to our technical team.

Q2: How does the large-flow filter compare to traditional PP melt-blown filters?

One 40-inch large-flow element replaces approximately 20 standard PP melt-blown elements of similar length. This reduces

housing size by 60–80%, lowers capital costs, saves floor space, and significantly reduces labor for element replacements.

Q3: What filtration accuracy is available for large-flow elements?

We offer large-flow elements in a range of micron ratings, typically from 0.5 μm to 100 μm, to suit various applications.
