What are the common problems of hydraulic oil in oil filter?

1. Why does the temperature of oil rise?

The main reasons are: insufficient oil or oil pollution. Insufficient oil is caused by equipment design defects or oil leakage. Oil pollution, especially oil oxidation pollutants, are easy to cause clogging of cooling systems and filters, leading to high oil temperature.

2. What is the relationship between oil leakage and pollution?

When the oil temperature rises for the above reasons, the viscosity of the oil will decrease, and the low viscosity oil is easier to leak out in the connector part. Keeping the oil cold and clean is a common way to avoid oil leaks.

3. How are bubbles created?

Cause of bubbles: When the filter or line is clogged or air passes through loose connectors, anti-foaming additives in the oil do not work and bubbles are produced.

4. Why does oxidation increase the viscosity of oil?

The viscosity of the oil used for a long time will not change basically, except in the case of particularly severe oil oxidation. General engineers believe through experience that oil after long-term use, viscosity will reduce, but that is generally in the machine 50-70℃ working state of judgment, and the viscosity test is at 40℃. In fact, as the degree of oil oxidation deepens, the viscosity will increase slightly!

5. The color of the oil?

It is normal for oils that have been used for a long time to become darker due to the formation of pigments. Since pigment dissolves in oil and does not affect the quality of oil, it is not correct to judge the quality of oil by its color alone.

6. What is oil deterioration?

Oil oxides continue to polymerize oxide adsorption particles, resulting in a "sandpaper-like" effect is the adverse consequences of oil deterioration. The deterioration of oil leads to the wear and tear of the machine. In fact, the deterioration of oil is essentially the oxidation of oil!

7. What size pollutants are harmful to the hydraulic system?

More than 1um particles on the hydraulic system will lead to filter blockage or pump failure. The particles of about 1um are similar to the thickness of the oil film, and the oil oxidation pollutants stick together and adsorb in the cracks of the pipeline and valve parts to wear the valve parts.

8. Why are acid values measured?

The acid value is closely related to the oxidation of oil, which is an important index to check the degree of oil oxidation. Generally, if the acid value of oil exceeds the standard, the acid value of oil can be reduced by removing oil oxides.

9. The role of water in lubricating oil?

Water rusts in the circulatory system, which can cause valve and system problems and also accelerate the oxidation of oil. The oil water separator can remove the water in the lubricating oil.

10, the service life of oil.

Lubricating oil is affected by air, heat, impurities and water. However, the change of oil in complete purification and below 60℃ is very small, which can be used for a long time. The additives consumed can be replaced by small amounts of new oil.
