Common Filter Cartridge Materials and Features of Security Filters
1. PP Melt-blown Filter Cartridge (Most commonly used, standard configuration)
Material: Made of polypropylene particles by melt-blowing molding.
Precision: 1μm, 5μm, 10μm, 20μm.
Features: Cost-effective, acid and alkali resistant, no secondary pollution, the first choice for pre-filtration of RO systems.
Application: Tap water, groundwater and pure water pretreatment; suitable for most conventional security filters.
2. Pleated Filter Cartridge
Material: Polypropylene / PES (Polyethersulfone) / Nylon N66.
Features: Large filtration area, high dirt holding capacity, high flux and higher filtration precision.
Application: High flow conditions, pharmaceutical, food, fine pure water and high-precision filtration scenarios.
3. String Wound Filter Cartridge (Honeycomb winding type)
Material: Polypropylene thread, cotton thread or glass fiber thread wound on a support skeleton.
Features: High temperature resistance, oil resistance and strong dirt holding capacity.
Application: Water containing slight oil, high-temperature water, industrial circulating water and wastewater pretreatment.
4. Sintered Filter Cartridge
Material: PE (Polyethylene), PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene).
Features: Reusable after repeated cleaning and regeneration, corrosion resistant and resistant to organic solvents.
Application: Corrosive chemical liquids and working conditions requiring repeated recycling.
5. Stainless Steel Sintered Filter Cartridge
Material: Sintered 304/316L stainless steel powder.
Features: Resistant to high temperature and high pressure, reusable after repeated cleaning, with extremely high structural strength.
Application: High-temperature steam, chemical industry and high-pressure working conditions; not suitable for ordinary pure water.
