Differential pressure automatic mode: It is based on the clogging degree of the filter screen. It monitors the inlet and outlet differential pressure in real time, and automatically cleans only when the pressure difference reaches the set threshold. It cleans more frequently if clogging fast, and less if clogging slowly.
Timing automatic mode: It follows a fixed time cycle. The filter is forced to clean at manually set intervals. It starts automatic cleaning on time regardless of whether the filter screen is clogged or not.
Different applicable working conditions
Differential pressure mode: Suitable for scenarios with unstable and fluctuating water impurities. It cleans on demand, saves water and power, and reduces filter screen wear.
Timing mode: Suitable for working conditions with stable water quality and uniform impurity content. The cleaning cycle is fixed, no need to rely on differential pressure detection, and the operation is more regular.
Different energy consumption and service life of consumables
Differential pressure mode: Cleans on demand, avoids unnecessary flushing, saves water and electricity, and prolongs the service life of filter screens and seals.
Timing mode: Flushes at fixed intervals. It may perform cleaning even when the screen is not clogged, resulting in waste of water and electricity and increased wear from frequent mechanical start-stop.
Different dependent conditions
Differential pressure mode: It relies on the normal operation of differential pressure switches or transmitters. Instrument failure will cause failure of automatic triggering.
Timing mode: It only depends on the PLC timing program, no need for differential pressure instruments, with lower failure rate and higher stability.
