Turbine oil, also known as turbine oil, usually includes steam turbine oil, gas turbine oil, hydraulic turbine oil, etc., mainly used for turbine oil and lubrication of the sliding bearing, reduction gear, governor and hydraulic control system of the phase linkage unit. The main function of turbine oil is lubrication, cooling and speed regulation. But in the actual production process, the phenomenon of deterioration of steam turbine oil will appear, so how to solve it? Can I use a coalescing dehydrating oil filter?
Reasons for deterioration of steam turbine oil
1. The temperature is too high, high temperature is easy to lead to oil deterioration. The running steam turbine oil, constantly circulating in the system, the oil temperature will continue to rise, the main reason is that the internal friction of the oil in the bearing generates heat, secondly, because the oil is in contact with the journal, is heated by the heat from the turbine rotor, high temperature is easy to lead to oil deterioration.
2. Water in the oil leads to oil emulsification. The existence of water in turbine oil will accelerate the aging of oil and emulsification; At the same time, it will interact with the additives in the oil to promote its decomposition, leading to the corrosion of the equipment. Therefore, to find the main reason for water in steam turbine oil is to find the main reason for oil emulsification.
The working principle of coalescing dehydration oil filter
Coalescing dehydrating oil filter can solve the problem of excessive water content in the oil. For the turbine oil, it can remove the water in the oil very well and avoid the emulsification of the oil. The oil of the steam turbine first filters out the particles in the oil from the primary filter, then enters the coalescing separator. The oil realizes the function of removing water through the four processes of filtration, coalescing and sedimentation separation, and then output the purified oil.
Different liquids have different surface tension, and when the liquid flows through the hole, the smaller the surface tension is, the faster the rate of passing through. When the different mixed liquids flow into the separator, the first into the coalescating filter element, coalescating filter element has a multi-layer filter medium, its pore size increases layer by layer. Due to the difference in surface tension, the oil passes through the filter quickly, while the water is much slower. And because the coalescence filter element adopts hydrophilic material, the tiny water droplets are adsorbed on the surface of the filter layer, resulting in the coalescence of water droplets. Under the action of kinetic energy, small droplets race through the opening and gradually converge into large droplets, which settle and separate from the oil under the action of gravity. After the oil passes through the coalesce filter element, there are still small water droplets moving forward to the separation filter element under the action of inertia. The separator element is made of hydrophobic material. When the oil passes through the separator element, the water is kept out of the separator element, while the oil passes through the separator element and is discharged from the outlet.
In addition to the use of coalescing dehydrated oil filter filter turbine oil, in the daily use of the process, also need to do a good job of daily maintenance, so as to extend the service life of the turbine oil.
